And even in this moment that feels loud, heavy, and uncertain, young South Carolinians are choosing to lead anyway.
But courage and bravery aren’t enough.
Young leaders need community, training, space, and support — the real infrastructure that turns energy into long-term civic power.
That’s where Be The Ones comes in.
We’ve listened closely to the young leaders in our programs — and the message is clear: they want deeper training, more opportunities to build community, and real pathways to lead in South Carolina.
Over the past 3+ years, we’ve seen what’s possible when young leaders are supported, resourced, trusted, and connected. We’ve watched ideas turn into action, connections spark movements, and individual leaders become catalysts for their campuses and communities.
2026 is our year to build on that momentum.
Not only by reaching more young people, but by investing even more intentionally in the emerging leaders already shaping our work. It’s time to strengthen the places, relationships, and infrastructure that turns individual leadership into collective power.
