Beyond the Ballot: A Community Connection Celebration is where student civic power meets community joy and fun times. On September 16th, which marks National Voter Registration Day, we invite you to join your fellow students, neighbors, and community leaders at the College of Charleston to celebrate connection, conversation, and collective action.
Whether you’re registering to vote for the first time, updating your voter registration, or simply looking for a way to get more involved and raise your voice on and off campus, this event is for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Free pizza & sweet treats, fun games and great prizes - think smashing things that represent big feelings, arts & crafts, sharing why you raise your voice through an anonymous phone booth installation, and so much more!
Meet local organizations working on issues important to you - like climate change, housing, the cost of living as a student, chat with local elected officials, and meet some new friends!
Learn real ways you can raise your voice beyond the ballot box - on and off campus
Get registered to vote or update your voter registration in less than 60 seconds
A whole lot of fun!
This celebration isn’t just about registering to vote and checking a box on Election Day. It’s about building a stronger, more connected campus and community - together.
