January was anything but a slow start. Alongside showing up for and supporting our most impacted communities, we spent the month gathering, advocating, and building spaces rooted in care and connection across South Carolina.

As the official state partner, we helped coordinate the Walk for Peace, welcoming 20,000+ who chose care, reflection, and connection together.

π Legislative Kickoff (Columbia)
In partnership with ACLU SC, Legal Defense Fund, South Carolinians Against the Death Penalty, SC Tenant Union, WREN, + partners statewide, we hosted our 2nd Annual Legislative Kickoff - gathering 100+ on day one of session to reimagine civic engagement + advocacy rooted in community, joy, & collective power.

π£ Testifying on Democracy Bills
Our team continues to be on the frontlines advocating for pro-democracy policy. Dylan testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on bills impacting voting access and primary elections.

π₯ Citizens Revival Documentary Screening
In 2024, we participated in Citizens Revival, a documentary exploring civic responsibility through 120 voices nationwide. The first SC screening sparked powerful conversation. Full release coming this spring.

Our CofC Student Chapter kicked off the semester with its first executive session and hosted a campus-wide community care activation.
